What to do in Valencia when you’re short of time?  This situation is familiar for many travelers: having only a limited amount of time in which to see as much as possible. That’s why today we bring you plans and activities that you can do in a single day and get to know Valencia (at least the most important things). A city that over the years has became a cultural, culinary and artistic treasure.

Today we bring you three great one-day plans you can do when in Valencia and know a little bit more about the Turia river capital.

Day plans to do in Valencia

Among the experiences to do in Valencia in a day and get to know and soak up the valencian culture, we recommend you the following plans:

Old Town

The Old Town or Valencia Historic Center is a must-see. The buildings, preserved perfectly, will take you to medieval Valencia. You can climb the stairs of the Miguelete and Serrano’s Towers to enjoy fantastic sights of the city, visit the Cathedral and stroll through the streets that are a perfect blend of old and new… You will also come across lots of bars and restaurants where you can stop for lunch, dinner or simply have a glass of wine on a terrace while admiring the city-sights.

City of Arts and Sciences

One of the most appreciated places by visitors, the City of Arts and Sciences offers tourists and Valencians a great space in the outdoors, with a wide range of cultural and leisure activities. Do not forget to visit the Oceanográfico and the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum.

In Valencia Guías we can recommend you the best plans. We can turn your trip into a unique experience; contact us and let us surprise you.

A visit to the Albufera

The Albufera Natural Park is located just 20 minutes from the city and is the largest freshwater lake in Spain, host to a wide variety of native flora and fauna. The visit to the Albufera will allow you to get better acquianted with the Valencian culture by showing you how the inhabitants lived in this area just a few decades ago.

In addition, you can enjoy a unique culinary offer. You will find a great variety of restaurants where you can taste all kinds of paellas and rice dishes. Our favorites are the Valencian paella, the ‘fesols i naps’ rice (in winter) and the baked rice … a delight!
