And it begins a spectacle of light and sound in the square to celebrate the entry of the new year as if you’re in Times Square. Live music and a great party atmosphere will follow. The show ends at 2am but don’t worry, as the New Year’s Celebrations continue. There are a multitude of celebrations throughout the city, from gala parties to more informal events. A great option is to ascend the Ateneo Mercantil building (found in the same Town Hall Square) and visit the sky bar located at the top. If you prefer street parties, head to Patraix square, where the neighbours organise a New Year’s Eve Party complete with grapes, cava and a bonfire to bring in the New Year, party until the early hours of the morning small Spanish village style!!.

Another emblematic place to live the the New Year’s Eve in Valencia is the the Port. The restaurants of Veles e Vents building area and Las Arenas beach celebrate several gala festivals. You can welcome in the year with beautiful sea views, surrounded by a beautiful and electric atmosphere. And a trend which is growing in the last years is to spend the New Year’s Eve in the theatre, with a special function, grapes and cava.
