Guided tour to the City of Arts & Sciences

The avant-garde Valencia of the 21st century is found in the City of Arts and Sciences, the work of the internationally renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, born in Valencia.

Four large buildings make up Calatravas’s architectural complex:

  • the Prince Felipe Museum of Sciences. The goal of this great21st century museum is to make known in a didactic, interactive and entertaining way everything related to the evolution of life, science and technology.
  • The Hemisferic: holds the largest screen in Spain covering 900 square meters and three projection systems.
  • The Umbracle: viewpoint from which you can see all the buildings, with walks and gardens. In its interior it houses the parking of the City of Sciences.
  • The opera of Valencia, the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, international reference for lovers of this musical genre.
